Who you are dealing withThe neighbour with the good shed
Quiet Side is a garage door trade for the western shore of Lake Macquarie, based in Morisset, named for the side of the lake it works and the way a door should sound when the work is done. This page is how we operate, stated plainly, because that is the whole pitch.
The name is the standard
Locals call this side of the lake the quiet side, and we like it that way. But the name earns its keep at the door: a garage door that is kept right runs quiet, and noise, the grind, the squeal, the bang of a spring letting go, is how a door asks for help. Quiet is not the mood of this business. It is the pass mark every job gets handed back at.
How every job runs
- We look first. At the door, the spring, the tracks, the opener, the opening itself. Not at a script.
- We say what we found and what it means. In plain words, at your door, including "this is fine, leave it alone" when that is the truth.
- You get the price before the work. A firm quote, on site, and nothing starts until you have said yes to it. New doors get a written quote that holds whether or not you go ahead.
- The door goes back quiet. And we leave the garage the way we found it, minus the problem.
The form is the front door, on purpose
Enquiries come through the form rather than a phone line. It is a small system with an honest reason: what you type is exactly what we work from, nothing gets scribbled down wrong between a ringing phone and a ute cab, and every job starts on paper with your street, your door and your words attached. A real person reads it and rings you back to talk it through and book the visit.
The quiet-side rules
- No prices on the website. An honest number needs eyes on the door, and we will not pretend otherwise.
- No response-time theatre. We offer real bookings, not "same day" promises invented by a web page.
- No brand badges we have not earned. We work across the common Australian door and opener makes generically, and we do not claim dealer status for any of them.
- No mains wiring by anyone but a licensed electrician; that is the law in NSW and the right way anyway.
- No drama. Doors rarely deserve any.
The patch: Morisset, Bonnells Bay, Cooranbong, Wyee, Dora Creek, Brightwaters, Mirrabooka, Wyee Point, Martinsville and Mandalong. All of it within about fifteen minutes of the roundabout. See the board →
Tell us what the door's doing
A fault that needs seeing to, or a new door worth measuring up properly. Either way, it starts with a short form and ends with a door that runs quiet.
